Should I Buy or Lease My New Volkswagen in Lakewood?

Buying and leasing – many of the people who visit our dealership struggle with which financing option to choose. In fact, we often get this question. So which is the better investment option for you?

The truth is, both of these financing options have their pros and cons. It is less a question of “is leasing or buying better”, and more a question about your personal driving habits and your budget.

For instance, for drivers who often travel in the city, don’t take long road trips, prefer a more financially flexible payment plan, and aren’t looking for a long-term investment option, leasing is the option for you. While leasing does come with mileage parameters and the requirement that you keep the vehicle in good condition, this is often the most cost-effective solution.

However, if you want total control over your vehicle and you are looking for a long-term investment that will lead to ownership, then you will want to pursue buying a car. While it may be more expensive on a month-to-month basis, and while it does require a credit check and taking out an automotive loan, buying a car (as the name would suggest) leads to owning a vehicle, which gives you total freedom over where you go and what you do.

Of course, if you have any questions about our Volkswagen vehicles, the purchasing process, buying, or leasing you are always welcome to visit us at Gebhardt Volkswagen, located in Boulder, CO.

We look forward to assisting you!
